It’s time to use the C word, and that means that with Christmas comes an increase in items being posted. As a result you may find that although I send items first class within the UK, your delivery may take a little longer to arrive. This is certainly the case for international deliveries and as a result there are last Christmas posting dates which Royal Mail and Collect Plus state, which are a cut off if you want your item to arrive before Christmas.
When I post out your items, I use Royal Mail as standard both for UK and international postage. International postage is a little less consistent in the timescales depending on the country or where you live in a particular country. However in the UK I always use Royal Mail first class and generally in 95% of the cases I post out because I post out on a morning I find that most items arrive next day. However FIRST CLASS DOES NOT GUARANTEE NEXT DAY DELIVERY. This is royal mail dependent and they actually state within 2-3 working days. It is out of my hands and I always state if you are keen to receive your item next day to opt for guaranteed delivery which is an extra £5 but your item should arrive before 1pm the next day.
My general rule applies Jan- mid November HOWEVER nearer Christmas, Royal Mail gets a lot busier and postage times can take a little longer. Please be aware of this. International buyers this may add 1-2 weeks onto your usual wait time (USA is usually within 7-10 days). And UK buyers first class can go to 2-3 days. I would say for this 6 week period, only 70% of my items arrive next day.
The delay in posting times also applies to collect plus sent items (which I charge an additional +£5 for to pick up at a store) rather than the usual 3 day delivery time I would say in some cases it could be up to 5 days to wait.
This is just a worst case scenario and I am just trying to manage expectations because as you can imagine I get a lot of emails asking where items are when they do not arrive the next day.
My Christmas Advent Treats will be running through December from 1st- 24th therefore please ensure you do not leave it too late to contact me for your Christmas treats as I want to ensure no one is disappointed.
